LGPD

Overview

The Brazilian General Data Protection Law, the Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados Pessoais (LGPD) requires that you only process personal data for legitimate, specific, explicit and clearly communicated purposes. As with the GDPR, principles of transparency and data minimalization (only use the data you need) apply.

The law contains unique definitions of personal data and their authorized uses that count on enforcement by the Brazilian Data Protection Authority (ANPD).

Similar to the GDPR, the LGPD applies to the processing of data by organizations within Brazil, but also to organizations outside Brazil under certain circumstances.

LGPD compliance provides significant benefits to data subjects who are afforded the new rights.

All of DT's SDKs were updated to include LGPD compliance.

LGPD SDK APIs

All new SDKs include new APIs to communicate user consent provided on the app to DT and also include features to propagate consent to DT's demand partners and mediated ad networks.

Updating your apps to DT Exchange’s latest SDKs is essential to ensure compliance with LGPD.

Important

We strongly recommend notifying your users that they must update their app to the latest version to ensure compliance with LGPD.
