Each report contains its own dataset and is relevant to different users such as demand partners or publishers. You can explore a dataset by filtering and splitting it across any dimension. For each filtered split of your data, you see the aggregate value of your selection.
Set out below are the instructions for using DT's Dynamic Reports.
General Terms
Set out below are some general terms used throughout this article, to better help you understand how the DT's Dynamic Reports works.
Term | Description |

Dimensions | A data field that can be filtered or grouped to distinguish some parts of data from others. Dimensions can be used in Filters and can also be used to Split data. Examples of dimensions include age, country, gender, device model etc.. |
Metrics | Metrics are numeric data fields that can be aggregated across dimensions. Examples of metrics include price, requests, users |
Filter | Filters let you focus on a specific part of your data. It could be a time period, a specific country or a number of countries, or any other segment of a dimension in your data. For example, you may filter an entire report to show data relevant only to a certain date range, App, Placement Type or multiple countries. |
Split | You can split the report by either a single or several dimensions to receive a more granular breakdown. You can split by up to five dimensions. |
How Does it Work?
The first step is to select the different dimensions and metrics that you want to use and then drag and drop them into the Filter or Split options.
Dimensions
Searching for a Dimension
If you are searching for a particular dimension, use the search feature to find it.
- Click the Search icon at the top of the dimensions pane
- Begin entering the name of the dimension you are searching for
The suitable dimensions are automatically shown, based on your search parameters.

You can click on each group to view the dimensions contained within it. Each option can be used to view the reporting data by clicking on it or using the drag and drop functionality into the Filter or Split options.
Alternatively, you can click on the dimension to see the various functions available.
Metrics
Metrics appear in the left pane under the dimensions.

Filters
The filters allow you to focus on specific data elements.
By default, the date filter appears. Click on it to open up the date selector to select a date range of specific date to refine your filter.
The date range can be either a preset time period such as Last 30 Days or you can select a custom range by picking individual dates.
Comparing Data
If you want to compare data with a comparable period, at the bottom of the Date Selector mark the Compare To checkbox.
The Date Selector changes color to indicate you are using the compare feature and you can either select a specific date range or use a preset option to compare the data.
You can add additional dimensions to filter by dragging and dropping them from the Dimensions column into the Filter field. To further narrow the filtering options, select specific options from the dropdown list.
Through the Exclude icon, choose to either Include or Exclude the selected metric in your results.
When you have selected a number of dimensions to be filtered, the number of selected objects within it is displayed in brackets, next to its name.
Split
You can split the report by either a single or several dimensions to receive a more granular breakdown.
Drag and drop into the Split section a dimension. You can click the selected dimension to further refine your options using the Sort By and Limit features.
The results are displayed immediately in the central pane in a table format.
Click on the table column headings to sort the information in either ascending or descending order, by clicking the arrow icon.
You can delete a column too, by clicking on the column head and clicking the X icon.
Display
Depending upon the dimensions and metrics selected the information can be displayed in different formats:
- Totals
- Table
- Line Chart
- Bar Chart
Additional Features
DT Reporting, allows you to perform a number of other functions.
Saving Reports
- Click Save to keep the report and save it locally - it is then saved and displayed in the Saved Reports section and can be retrieved for future use. You can also Edit, Delete or Share the saved report.
Pinboard
For an immediate summary view of a single dimension drag and drop it (or click on it and select Pin) in the Pinboard area and then sort it by different metrics, to view specific dimension-related results.
This option is particularly useful when viewing results in a Line Chart.
