Each report contains its dataset and is relevant to different users, such as demand partners or publishers. You can explore a dataset by filtering and splitting it across any dimension. For each filtered data split, you see the aggregate value of your selection. The instructions for using DT's Dynamic Reports appear below.
General Terms
The following table describes some general terms used throughout this article to help you better understand how DT's Dynamic Reports works.
TERM | DESCRIPTION |
---|---|
Dimensions | A data field can be filtered or grouped to distinguish some parts of data from others. Dimensions can be used in Filters and to Split data. Examples include age, country, gender, device model, etc. |
Metrics | Metrics are numeric data fields that can be aggregated across Dimensions. Examples of metrics include price, requests, and users. |
Filters | Filters enable you to focus on a specific part of your data. It could be a time period, a specific country, several countries, or any other segment of a dimension in your data. |
Splits | You can split the report into a single or several dimensions, up to five, to receive a more granular breakdown. |
How Does it Work?
The first step is to select the dimensions and metrics you want to use and then drag and drop them into the Filter or Split options.

- Click the Search icon at the top of the dimensions pane.
- Begin entering the name of the dimension you are searching for.
The suitable dimensions are automatically shown based on your search parameters.
The Buyers Report Dimensions describes the available dimensions for the DT Buyers Report.
You can click each group to view the dimensions it contains. Each option allows you to view reporting data by clicking or dragging it into the Filter or Split sections.

Filter (Data Comparison)
Drag the Dimensions and Metrics to Filter the report.
The date filter appears by default. Click on it to open the date selector, and you can refine your filter by selecting a specific date range.
The date range can be either a preset time period, such as the Last 30 Days, or you can select a custom range by picking individual dates.
Comparing Data
If you want to compare data with a comparable period, select the Compare to checkbox at the bottom of the Date Selector.
The Date Selector changes color to indicate when you use the compare feature. You can either select a specific date range or use a preset option to compare the data.
You can add dimensions to the filter by dragging and dropping them from the Dimensions column into the Filter field. Select specific options from the dropdown list to narrow the filtering options further.
Alternatively, click the Exclude icon to choose whether to Include or Exclude the selected metric from your results.
The number of selected objects within each dimension is displayed in brackets next to its name when you select a number of dimensions to filter.
Split
You can split the report into a single or several dimensions for a more granular breakdown.
Drag and drop a dimension into the Split section. Then, click the selected dimension to refine your options further using the Sort By and Limit drop-down boxes.
The results are displayed immediately in the central pane in a table format.
Click on the table column headings to sort the information in ascending or descending order using the arrow icon.
You can also delete a column by clicking the column head and the X icon.
