In some cases you might want to forgo setting up placement parameters in the user interface and import data from a file instead. This can be useful when you have a lot of placements to add/update or when working with data exported from other dashboards.

Download a base CSV file from DT Console.

Modify the downloaded CSV file in an external tool.

Upload the modified CSV file to the DT Console.

Downloading a Base CSV File

First thing to do is to get a base CSV file. This could be either your current configuration or a blank template.

To download a base CSV file:

Select your app from the Apps Dashboard.
On the Placements tab of the App Details screen, click the Add placement drop-down.

To download your current settings, click Download CSV.

To download a blank template, click Upload CSV, and then click Download CSV template on the Upload a CSV file dialog box.

Modifying the Base CSV File

Once you download the CSV file (either your existing placement configuration or the blank template), modify the CSV file for the placements you want to add or update. Each line in the CSV file represents a placement, and each placement parameter is separated by a comma.

The following table provides a list of fields that you must provide in your CSV file.

PARAMETER	DESCRIPTION
`Placement ID`	Unique identifier for the Placement. If you are creating a placement, leave this field blank. DT assigns a Placement ID when you upload the CSV file. If you are updating an existing placement, enter the ID for the placement you want to modify.
`Placement Name`	The name of the placement. Placement names must be unique.
`Placement Type`	Enter one of the following ad formats: `Banner`. Placement is for a Banner ad format. `Interstitial`. Placement is for an Interstitial ad format. `MREC`. Placement is for a Medium Rectangle ad format. `Rewarded`. Placement is for a Rewarded ad format.
`Status`	Determines whether placement receives traffic. Indicate one of the following statuses: `Active`. Placement receives traffic `Inactive`. Placement does not receive traffic.
`Floor Price`	The country and floor price you want to apply to this placement. Use the following format: `CountryCode:FloorPrice` `CountryCode`. Use the alpha-2 country code for the country you want to specify a floor prices. To specify a worldwide floor price, use `WW` as the country code. `FloorPrice`. Specify the floor price (0.01-500.00 USD) you want to apply for the country. Separate multiple entries by a space.
`Targeting Mode`	Mode in which you want to target the country specified in the `Targeting Country Codes` column. Specify one of the following modes: `Include`. Include the entity in the specified country `Exclude`. Exclude the entity from the specified country. If you leave this field blank, DT disables country targeting for the placement and targets all countries.
`Targeting Country Codes`	The alpha-2 country code for the country you want to target as specified in the `Targeting Mode` column. Separate multiple countries by a space. If you leave this field blank, DT disables country targeting for the placement and targets all countries.
`Child Directed`	Indicate whether the target audience of this placement includes children or whether this this placement may be accessed by children. `TRUE`. Children are the target audience for this placement or are likely to see this placement. `FALSE`. Children are not the target audience for this placement and are not likely to see this placement.

Uploading a CSV File with Multiple Placements

To upload a CSV file:

On the Placements tab of the App Details screen, click the Add placement drop-down.

Drag and drop your CSV file to the upload area, or, alternatively, click the upload area to browse to your CSV file.

A message displays to confirm the upload and the Placements tab of the App details screen gets updated.

Note

If you see an error message it means that there's something wrong with the file you tried to upload. Check and fix the file structure and field values, save the file, and try to upload again.
