Setting Up Mediated Networks

Important

Ad Network mediation is only available for DT FairBid customers.

Associate mediated networks with your app so that you can add instances of the mediated network to your placements. For more information about adding network instances to your placements, see Setting Up Instances.

Manage mediated networks for an app from the Networks tab of the App details screen.

To access the App Details screen, select an app from the Apps Dashboard. The Networks tab lists the mediated networks associated with your app. Associate instances of these networks with your Placements to start generating traffic to your placements. For more information about adding network instances to your placements, see Setting Up Instances.

Adding a Mediated Network

Adding a mediated network to your app makes the network available to create network instances for your placements.

Adding a mediated network requires you to share your relevant network parameters with DT. The parameters that you must provide vary by network. For more information about which network parameters to provide, see the appropriate Network Integration Guide.

To add a mediated network to an app:

  1. On the Networks tab of the App details window, click Add network.
The Add network page opens with a list of ad networks that you can integrate with DT.
  1. Click the mediated network that you want to make available for the placements of this app.

Deactivating a Mediated Network

Deactivating a mediated network makes it unavailable for future placements and also deactivates all associated network instances in existing placements. DT saves the network parameters in case you decide to re-activate the mediated network.

Warning

Once you deactivate a network, it is not available for future placements in your app. Additionally, deactivating a network also deactivates all associated instances of the network in existing placements.

To deactivate a mediated network:

  1. On the Networks tab on the App details screen, locate the mediated network you want to deactivate.
  1. Click the dot menu at the end of the row for the mediated network, and click Deactivate.
    A confirmation message displays.
  1. Click Confirm to complete the deactivation.

Re-Activating a Mediated Network

Re-activating a deactivated network also re-activates all deactivated network instances associated with placements.

To re-activate a Mediated Network:

  1. On the Networks tab of the App details window, click Add network.
The Add network page opens with a list of ad networks that you can integrate with DT.
  1. Click the mediated network that you want to re-activate.
  1. Verify the saved parameters.
  1. Click Add network.

Updating Mediated Network Parameters

When you update parameters in your mediated network, ensure that you update the mediated network parameters in DT Console.

To update mediated network parameters:

  1. On the Networks tab on the App details screen, locate the mediated network you want to update.
  1. Click the dot menu at the end of the row for the mediated network, and click Edit.
