Working with Placements When Adding an App

A placement refers to a location within your app where you want to displays ads. For example, this location may be on the start screen, the Game Over screen, or the bottom or top bar of the app.

You can set up placements when adding your app to the console. Read on to learn how.

Note

You can also add and/or edit your placements later by Editing an App.

Process Overview

To set up placements when adding your app, use the Add placement area of the Add app screen. Set up your whole placement suite by adding them one after another.

Once done with placements, either click the Add app button at the bottom right to finalize the process, or optionally proceed to Adding Networks.

Tip

If you plan to add a lot of placements, consider using the Import Placements feature to upload in bulk later instead of adding them manually right away.

Adding the First Placement

To add your first placement:

  1. Follow the steps under Adding an App but do not click the Add app button.
  2. In the Add placements area, click on a placement type: Rewarded, Interstitial, Banner, or MREC.
The row with selected placement type appears in the table with default name and floor price pre-populated; you can change these by Editing a Placement.

Editing a Placement

When editing a placement from the Add app screen, the only parameters that can be configured are the placement name and the floor price.

Note

More placement parameters can be configured once the app is added to DT Console.

To change the name and floor price for the placement, edit the values in Placement name and Floor price fields, respectively.

Deleting a Placement

To delete a placement, click on the ✕ icon in the placement row.

Adding Another Placement of the Same Type

You can add multiple placements of the same type and configure each placement individually. To do so:

  2. Click Add new placement.
