This article aims to guide publishers who want to use the DT FairBid SDK to load and display ads from InMobi via DT FairBid Mediation.

To ensure the integration, follow this process:

  1. Using the InMobi dashboard. 
  2. Inserting InMobi parameter into DT's Console
  3. Adding InMobi SDK to your integration

InMobi currently supports the following ad formats:

Step 1: Using the InMobi dashboard  

Creating an account on the InMobi dashboard 

To access InMobi’s ad inventory through the DT FairBid Mediation platform:

  1. Create or login to your InMobi account. To create an account, click here. 
  2. Once your account has been verfied, you can login at their partner Login here.

Creating an app on the InMobi dashboard 

Once logged in:

  1. Click Inventory on the left side of the dashboard
  2. Click Add Inventory on the right side of the dashboard
  3. Enter the URL of your app in the AppStore or Google Play.

    Alternatively, if your app is not live yet, select the Click here option on the bottom of the dashboard. You can then manually enter your application’s name and select its platform.

  4. Then, click continue.

  5. Ensure to check the option and select from the drop-down pertinent parameters, including:

    • Verify the target audience to confirm if the application is specifically intended for children under 16
    • Authorization for Inmo Bi to access device location, denoted as "Location Permission"
    • Deliberate the Block Setting option selection if you are opting to enforce such restrictions

Creating a placement on the InMobi Dashboard 

  1. Select the ad unit type for this placement out of the supported option.

  2. Fill in the placement details:
    • Placement name
    • Select DT FairBid as a partner
    • Test mode

  3. Finally, click Create Placement.

Retrieving parameters from the InMobi Dashboard 

To enable InMobi to work as an Ad Network with DT, you must obtain four parameters from your InMobi account and insert them into the DT Console.

Set out below are the details of what parameters are required and how and where to obtain them.

InMobi Parameter Description
User Name Your user name, as defined in the InMobi system
Account ID The unique ID of your account in the InMobi system
API Key A unique identifier for your InMobi account that allows the DT FairBid mediation platform to import performance data from your InMobi account
Placement Name/ID The unique Name/ID of a placement in the InMobi system

Obtaining the Username 

This is the username you obtained to login you InMobi Account. 

Obtaining the Account ID

Go to Finance >> Payment Settings >> Payment Information.

Obtaining the API Key 

Go to the drop-down arrow in the top right-hand corner of your admin panel >> Account Settings>> API Key >> Generate Key.

Obtaining the Placement ID 

Follow the steps below to obtain these parameters from InMobi.

Go to Inventory >> Inventory Settings >> Select your App >> Select the Placement >> Copy the Placement Name. 

Now that you have obtained the required parameters, you can complete the configuration of InMobi in your DT Account.

Step 2: Insert InMobi Parameters into the DT Console

To enter the parameters obtained from InMobi and insert them into the DT Console, follow these steps.

  1. Sign-in to your DT account.
  2. Select your app from the App Management window.
  3. On the App Management page, click Mediated Networks
  4. Select InMobi from the list

  5. Enter the InMobi app credentials and set the Instance name. The instance name should be distinguishable in case you have multiple InMobi Instances.
  6. Click Save
  7. To complete the setup, you must associate the network instance you created with the relevant Placement setup on the console. For a detailed guide, click here.

Step 3: Adding the InMobi SDK to your Integration

To add the InMobi SDK, go to the Supported Networks page and follow the guide while selecting the Configuration for InMobi.

✅ You have now successfully integrated InMobi into DT's console.
