Google Bidding

This article guides publishers who want to use the DT FairBid SDK to load and display ads from Google Bidding via DT FairBid mediation.

Google Bidding currently supports the following ad types:

  • Banner
  • Interstitial
  • Rewarded (with Google Play Services version 9.0.2+ integrated into your app)

Tip

To enable Google as a bidder, you must have an AdMob account to create partner bidding ad units required to enable Google bidding.

To integrate Google Bidding as an Ad Network in DT FairBid:

  1. Create or log in to your AdMob Account.
  2. Create an application and partner bidding ad unit within AdMob.
  3. Activate Google bidding in your DT Setup.
  4. Retrieve the parameters from the AdMob.
  5. Insert the AdMob parameters into the DT Console.
  6. Add the Google Mobile Ads SDK to your integration.

Tip

Copy the login, create or add a new app, and link your app content from the AdMob integration guide.

Creating a Partner Bidding Ad Unit

  1. From the AdMob homepage, click Apps and select your app.
  2. From the App Overview window, click Ad units.
  3. Select the ad format you want.
  4. Type in your ad unit name and click on the Partner Bidding setting.

    Note

You cannot change the ad unit serving type once you create an ad unit with this setting. Additionally, ad units created without the partner bidding setting cannot be edited to include it.

  5. To enable the pattern bidding feature, which is required to enable Google as a bidder, a new ad unit must be created.
  6. Select Partner bidding.
Only the Google Bidding ad unit will be displayed once selected.
